HOW TO APPLY FALSE LASHES
Are you tired of spending countless hours trying to get your false lashes to cooperate? We have compiled a comprehensive list of tips and tricks to applying lashes and mastering the perfect lash look. How to Master False Lashes for Beginners!
1. Prep the LashesBefore applying false lashes, the first step is to pre-shape and condition them. Take the lash strip, and use an eyelash curler to customize the strip and make it fit perfectly to the contour of the eye. Be sure to use light pressure when using the curler in order to avoid any potential breakage.
2. Apply AdhesiveThe second step is to apply a lash adhesive. Avoid gluing your eyes shut by applying the adhesive onto the strip of the false lash instead of the eyelid. Take off a tiny dab of the adhesive from the tube and use tweezers to apply it to the lash band so that there’s an even coating. Once it’s applied, wait one minute for it to become tacky before moving to the next step.
3. Place False Lash on Lash LineWhen the adhesive is no longer wet, take the false lash strip with tweezers and place it onto your upper lash line. Make sure you adjust it so that it lines up with your lash line and inner corner of your eye.
4. Blend LashesOnce the false lash is set in place, use a lash brush or a clean Q-tip to blend your natural lashes with the false lashes. Start at the outer corner of you lash line working inwards to give it a more natural appearance.
5. Add MascaraThe next step is to add mascara to the false lashes. The mascara helps give the false lashes a more blended natural appearance and also ensures that the lashes stay in place. If you don’t have an eyelash brush you can use a disposable mascara wand to make sure the lashes are fully saturated.
6. Set Lashes with GelThis step is optional but highly recommended. Applying a small amount of clear lash gel to your false lashes helps to make them feel more natural. Applying a layer of lash gel also gives them additional volume and makes sure they stay in place.
7. Final TouchesUse tweezers to gently pinch your eyelashes with your natural lashes and you’ll have a completed lash look. To add extra glamour you can also add eyeliner on the outer corner of your eye lid.
